Marieke Elzerman (1996) was born in Amsterdam and obtained both her bachelor and master degree in ﬁlmmaking at the KASK Royal School of Arts in Ghent. In January 2018 her bachelor project ‘Marieme, Marieke’ (2018) premiered at Galerie Van Gelder in Amsterdam. In May 2018 she was selected for the workshop ‘Filming in Peru’ with Werner Herzog. Her graduation ﬁlm ‘Come here’ (2020) won the Best Fiction Award at IndieLisboa, received a special mention at the Krakow Film Festival and won the jury award for best acting performance at the Leuven International Short Film Festival. She graduated in December 2021 from the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola in San Sebastian, Spain, with a new film called ‘La Voz Rosa’. In August 2022 she was selected as one of the 14 directors for the Locarno Filmmakers Academy 2022.
